Jodie-Ann Pennant joined Gap International in 2007 and has spent nearly two decades helping leaders and organizations fulfill on their most ambitious possibilities. As part of the Genius Institute she bridges cutting-edge research with the practical methodologies that shape transformational client engagements, training Gap’s consultants in the firm’s proprietary Genius methodology and ensuring it is woven into every aspect of Gap’s work.

What drives Ms. Pennant is a conviction that the most powerful leaders are those whose ambitions extend beyond themselves, to their people, their organizations, and the communities they serve. She finds her greatest fulfillment in creating the conditions for others to rise, a commitment that is reflected equally in how she develops Gap’s consultants and how she partners with clients.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Pennant has contributed to the development of key Gap learning products, shaped conference experiences for global audiences, and partnered with executives in industries ranging from mining to consumer goods, across Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa, and Europe.

Ms. Pennant holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from Northwestern University and a graduate degree in International Relations from New York University. She spent a formative year living and teaching in China before beginning her consulting career, an experience that deepened her respect and appreciation for how cultures understand and shape the world.
