Since joining Gap International in 1990, Cindy Fischer has led the establishment of the company's corporate infrastructure. She has directed the areas of human resources, operations, facilities, and information technology, as well as finance and strategy. She also spearheaded the design and construction of Gap International's award-winning headquarters.

 

As a consultant, Ms. Fischer leads breakthrough growth initiatives with multinational companies, particularly in Europe and Africa. She is an expert in strategy, and is the chief architect of Gap International's Breakthrough Strategy design and execution process. In addition, Ms. Fischer leads The Alignment Intensive, one of Gap International's premier programs for senior executives and their teams.

 

Prior to joining Gap International, Ms. Fischer owned and operated a software company in Germany that specialized in the licensing, development and distribution of U.S. software products in foreign languages. She also worked as a chemical engineer for Chevron USA for several years.

 

Ms. Fischer received a B.S. in chemical engineering from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
