Breakthrough Executive Quotient

The Breakthrough Executive Quotient (BEQ) is a web-based diagnostic tool that provides individual leaders with an instantaneous measurement of their level of "Breakthrough Leadership". It scores individuals on key leadership distinctions, such as integrity, alignment, stand for possibility, and stand for others.

The BEQ offers scenarios that represent the tasks and behaviors associated with a typical working environment. Several qualitative response options are offered for leaders to determine how they are likely to respond in a given situation. These situations are intentionally generic in order to apply to most working environments.

The BEQ is based on selected leadership fundamentals distinguished by Gap International as crucial to Breakthrough Leadership. Rather than using frequency or agreement scales, the BEQ utilizes written behavior scenarios. This minimizes respondent bias and will aide in alleviating the pressure that respondents may feel when forced to assign a numeric value to a behavior. After completing the diagnostic, leaders receive their BEQ score and an explanation of how to interpret what the score means.
