Cindy L. Fischer
Cindy Fischer is CFO and leads the formulation and implementation of
Gap International's business strategy. Since joining the company in 1990,
Ms. Fischer has established Gap International's corporate infrastructure,
directing the areas of human resources, operations, facilities, information
technology, as well as finance and strategy. She has spearheaded the construction
of an award-winning headquarters building and the ongoing introduction
of leading edge business technologies.
Ms. Fischer has led numerous initiatives with FORTUNE and Global 500
companies, including ones with multiple European cultures, to develop
breakthrough business strategies and produce extraordinary results.
Prior to joining Gap International, Ms. Fischer owned and operated a
software company in Germany, specializing in the licensing of U.S. software
products and developing and selling foreign language versions. She also
worked as a chemical engineer for Chevron USA.
Fluent in German and Italian, Ms. Fischer received a B.S. in chemical
engineering from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School,
University of Pennsylvania.
